Wikidata records 53 hotels as opening in 1973, in 26 countries; most of them in the United States (11), the United Kingdom (6) and Indonesia (6).[1][2] The best known, by the number of Wikipedia language editions with an article on it, is Horseshoe Las Vegas. They are listed here by name; List of hotels opened in the 1970s puts them in their decade.
A hotel is listed under the year of the earliest date Wikidata gives for its official opening or, where it gives none, its inception - for a building converted into a hotel, often that of the building. Hotels that have since closed are included.[1][2]
