Villa Igiea is a villa hotel in Palermo, Italy.[1] It opened in 1899. It stands about 3.4 km from the centre of Palermo.[3]
Overview
Villa Igiea is a neogothic former residence, now a luxury hotel maintaining some of the Art Nouveau (Liberty) refurbishment completed at the dawn of the 20th-century; the hotel sits on a high outcrop overlooking the sea at Porto dell'Acquasanta, located on Salita Belmonte #43 in the quartiere of Pellegrino of the city of Palermo, Sicily, Italy.

History and building
The villa hotel opened in 1899. It was designed by Ernesto Basile, in the Art Nouveau architecture style. [1]

Measured in a straight line, the villa hotel is 3.4 km from the centre of Palermo. The nearest airport with scheduled flights is Falcone–Borsellino Airport (PMO), about 25 km from the centre of Palermo.[4]
