Opened in 1910, it is noted for its architecture and historical role during the German occupation of France in World War II.

History and building
The palace hotel opened in 1910. It was designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Henri Tauzin, Alain-Charles Perrot, Louis-Charles Boileau and Florent Richard, in the Art Nouveau architecture and Art Deco style. The building has 9 floors and is 33 m tall. It is listed as a monument historique inscrit. [1]
